‘Hero - Project’

This project was created as a conclusion for the two first units of our level D course book (Opportunities Pre-Intermediate). The units deal with lifestyles and heroes. 

Project Proposal
Students were asked to use any kind of media (poster, power point; blog; video) to present a real or fictitious hero.
 

1. Poster:
The student who chose the poster spoke in front of the class in English for about 5 minutes about Steve Vai. 

2. Power Point:
The groups who chose power point also spoke in front of the class. One of the groups created questions to ask their colleagues about their presentation. They brought candies for the right answers. In the end, they gave a tennis ball with Meligeni’s autograph to the student who could tell more facts about his life. :-)

3. Video:
This group created a scene with the Wonder Woman. They wrote the scrip, filmed and showed to the group.

4. Blog
Three groups created blogs about heroes. They are very nice.

Conclusion and Assessment
 
As part of the assessment, they were asked to answer a questionnaire.
This activity required for all students to use skills, problem solving, creative production, teamwork and compromise. To challenge students and allow them to select the kind of media they’d rather use is a motivating issue in this project.
