On November 8th we took our students (from level 5 and up) to the play Grease at União Cultural Brasil-Estados Unidos. (I must say that Lisete came up with this nice idea, called União and organized everything.)

We saw their première and it was amazing! The Cultural Department had organized everything to our students – their seats were separated. Before the play we could see an exhibition of beautiful clocks about movies. In addition, we were very well received by Marcia Blake, Fabio Caramuru and Mauro Saieg. We’d like to thank União for giving us all this pleasure!

The play itself was very well adapted. The actors, who are all students from União Cultural, were so well in their characters and spoke English so well too!!! It was really a nice afternoon for the students and the teachers – Lisete, Elza and Kátia.

We’d also like to thank our GREAT students whose behavior was so cute!

Obs.: Before going there Lisete had worked with the song “Summer Nights” and the cultural aspects of the 60s. One of Lisete’s students liked the play so much that he took his mother to see it. After the play Elza worked with the ‘retelling’ of the story and Kátia used pictures of the movie to ask the students to ‘retell’ the story comparing it with the movie. Also, the students listened to the song “Summer Nights” and discussed the different behavior of women and men at the time. Those were nice classes! ;-)
