Anti-Flag’s Biography

Anti-Flag’s first appearance was at a local Pittsburgh radio station in 1993 and bopped nearly their hometown. In 1997, they released lots pf singles and opened the U.K. Subs, the Exploited and the Circle Jerks shows. Then released Die for the Government, witch sold 20.000 copies. After that, Anti-Flag gained their reputation for their old-school ethics of punk: fast, loud and anti-everything that ends with “ism”.
The group was composed by Justin Sane (guitar and vocals), Andy Flag (bass) and Pat Thetic (drums). Then in 1996 Andy Flag got out the band and in 1997 Chris Head (guitar) was added to the band and two years later, Chris #2 (bass and vocals) joined in as well.

OBS.: Why was it composed?
This song was written in dedication of the mainstream-corporate media, in
particular Judith Miller and the New York Times, who failed miserably in their
role as The People's investigative watchdog of the powerful and instead acted as
a stenographer for the White House in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq.
As well as a handful of other courageous journalists for getting it right on
Iraq for continuing to report it like it is while the others report what is
safe, and for putting integrity before profit.
