Our 'Group Writing'

In a usual Thursday we went to the CCA (Computer Center ) as our teacher had requested. We were to use a word processor. Our teacher dictated the following beginning for a short story:

"What's that noise?" Slowly finding my way out of a deep sleep, I was greatly irritated by the annoying whirr of that sounded like a motor or something. When the sound subsided, I would drift back into the peace of a profound sleep, but then that damned sound would start whirring away again, bringing me to that level of consciousness where one doesn't really know if one is asleep or not.

Later, she told us to continue the story in whatever way we wanted. In about five minutes she told us to switch computers and continue our colleague’s story. In the end, the stories came out really strange, but funny.

All in all, that activity broke the routine and felt refreshing for all. It is always good to do different activities and to participate in such a funny exercise.

From what I could notice, while they were writing this composition, they were really having fun. When they switched computers and read what the colleagues had written, they ALWAYS laughed a lot before going on with the compositions. Therefore, I think this was one of the most interesting written activities we have worked with L8 students.
